Recent ImageMagick on CentOS 6.3

http://serverfault.com – I'm having a terrible time trying to get a recent version of ImageMagick installed on a CentOS 6.3 x86_64 server. First, I downloaded the RPM from the ImageMagick site and tried to install it. That failed due to missing dependencies: error: Failed dependencies: libHalf.so.4()(64bit) is needed by ImageMagick-6.8.0-4.x86_64 libIex.so.4()(64bit) is needed by ImageMagick-6.8.0-4.x86_64 libIlmImf.so.4()(64bit) is needed by ImageMagick-6.8.0-4.x86_64 libImath.so.4()(64bit) is needed by ImageMagick-6.8.0-4.x86_64 libltdl.so.3()(64bit) is needed by ImageMagick-6.8.0-4.x86_64 I h (HowTos)

I have followed the wget method here hoping it was my solution:

However I get the following error when trying to install:

... checking if ImageMagick version is at least 6.2.4... configure: error: no. You need at least Imagemagick version 6.2.4 to use Imagick.

What am i doing wrong? )

Im running a new install of Fedora 12 (64-bit) installed all updates and my programs everything is running fine except 3 updates.

Fedora informs me that I have 3 updates abailable they are: curl-7.19.7-6.1.fc12 (i686) libcurl-7.19.7-6.1.fc12 (i686) libcurl-devel-7.19.7-6.1.fc12 (i686)

working on CentOS 5.7 64 bit. I need to install syslog-ng. First I downloaded syslog-ng RPM. When I install I get many dependencies error messages.
