It is easier for someone to help you, if you provide the exact wifi-card you use by pasting the relevant line the Intel device of: lspci -nnFurther, have a look in dmesgif you see the firmware being loaded ok for the card. paste the relevant output here (with code tags), if unsure.
I have got a new USB wifi adapter of Netgear with Realtek Chipset. I am using UBuntu 12.04. I tried to install it according to the directions in Ubuntu forums. But I failed. Can anyone please help me out. I am a newbie in Ubuntu.
