Hi all, just had my Nexus 4 delivered and setting it up.
Currents looks like a decent app and if I can get it to import my Reader feeds then I doubt I'll need another RSS reader app. From what I can see it's supposed to happen automatically when you link your Google account but it's not working on mine. Is there another way of importing the feeds?
Thanks in advance.
Do you love Google Reader, but wish you could access it offline? Ubuntu client Lightread lets you do just that, and also gives you an extremely simple user interface to read with.
I have question about RSS reader applications like Pulse(android/iphone app). In this kind of applications how does the app understand different kinds of the RSS feeds..
Does all the RSS information from different sources have similar pattern like title, source url, image.
I have tried to see some RSS info, but I could find image tag in some but not all..
I have been using Google Reader to keep up with RSS feeds for years. Today I opened Google Reader and received this notice:
"Google Reader will not be available after July 1, 2013"
The full notice can be found here:
Google Reader will be retired on July 1, 2013
Wowsers, I wasn't even aware that Google was contemplating this.
How long until Google shuts down Feedburner? The company just announced that it is shutting down Google Reader on July 1. That’s a sad day for all of us who still regularly use it, but its demise was probably inevitable.
RSS reader Feedly has been on a roll ever since Google announced it was shutting down Google Reader, and the alternative reader has rolled out a new mobile app. In this new version, users will benefit from a new search and discovery engine, visual tweaks for easier reading, and better sharing.
For my money Calibre is one of the most indispensible pieces of software in GNU/Linux. It can handle all your e-books in all the major formats, including PDF, EPUB and Mobi.
Currently there is an easy way to get Adobe Reader then download and install it on Android phones.
I have two android applications with source code. One is a PDF reader and another is an ePUB reader, but I want to merge them into one app so that it will act as a single application and when I will download the epub it should open with epub reader and similarly when I will download the pdf it should open with pdf reader.
Can anyone offer any tips on how to proceed?
