http://tinycorelinux.com – FWIW, the latest version of VirtualBox are requiring qt-opengl, which would depend on xorg, if we can ge that module built. Most likely, my first attempts at building VirtualBox in TC 3.x will be with a 3.0.x version of VirtualBox which does not depend... (Distributions)

Do you get some kind of error that asks you to install DKMS? When you try /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup, does it fail?? Here's the solution.

If you have Virtualbox, first, please remove it.

I just downloaded the latest version of VirtualBox, and GDebi and the Software Center said that it could not open it because the package was corrupt or broken. So, I checked the checksums, and they were off, so I redownloaded it. Now, the Software Center says this:

Code: Breaks existing package 'virtualbox-4.1' that conflict: 'virtualbox'.

This is not the ose version. This version from virtualbox.org for Fedora11x86_64.

I already have virtualbox v3.0.0 working with nat, usb and sharing folder.

There is a new release virtualbox v3.0.2.

My q is this: How do i do an upgrade?

Well, I've seen a lot of people having trouble with VirtualBox, me included. Here is the process of installing Oracle VM VirtualBox correctly on Fedora 18 Spherical Cow.

VMWare/VirtualBox vCPU 23 weeks 1 day ago

If I install VMWare workstation or VirtualBox, it uses my REAL hardware. I know that there is a virtualization platform that can create vCPU (virtual CPU). I can tell the vCPU how much ghz to use from each of my cores.

Do you know if this is possible using VMWare/VirtualBox ? Or do I have to install a server version of any product ? Open Source is always preffered :-)

VirtualBox, it's virtualization software primarily intended for desktop machines, similar to VMWare Workstation, Parallels or Virtual PC. RemoteBox allows you to administer an installation of VirtualBox residing on another machine such as a server, as if it was installed locally. You can also interact with the displays of the guests.
