OK, thanks./Lars
Quotethe *core.gz elements should be in /tce (or in /boot and called by the bootloader) and then everything should work by entering "sudo tce-setup" without any argumentwould this mean that the *.core.gz extension must be loaded at boot eith...
I have an embedded Linux (vanilla, 3.3.8, i486, Vortex86dx) system that boots from an initramfs image.
I have an IDE Flash disk with two partitions at /dev/hda1 and /dev/hda2.
As this is a minimal embedded distribution for a fixed system, it has a static /dev directory that contains /dev/hda1 and /dev/hda2, and there is no UDEV.
When I boot up, the /dev/hda1 entry is no longer present.
Hi all
I could'nt make dd work, so i had another idea. I reinstalled Suse 10.2 on my computer,on /hda1 it use to be
hda1 /
hda2 /Data
hda3 swap
When i reinstalled on hda1 it became
hdb1 /
hdb2 /Data
hdb3 swap
I don't know what happed there, but it works. The only problem mow is hdb2
did not get mounted during the installation. In Yast i tried the Partioner
program and got error -3033.
Debian if my first OS and i want to dual boot Fedora12
Ok i installed Fedora12 and choose not to install the bootloader(gonna use the one Debian installed)
What i'm tring to do in Debain is edit my /boot/grub/menu.lst
Here is what i have
Code:
title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.26-1-686
Would you consider a fully recursive load, both at boot and when installing via appbrowser, in the future? It would simplify creation and maintenance of .dep files./Lars
Sure. For consideration. Email me.
It is not necessary to have separate partitions.I use separate boot directories, such as/boot/tc24/boot/tc26/boot/tc27you can also specify different tce directories in grubtce=hda1/tce27
After I have installed ubuntu 11.10, grub menu is showing wrong device (/dev/hdb1) for my windows xp. But it is actually in /dev/hda1. So windows is not booting. how to change it?
