Hello,This is a glitch that I've experienced on Statler as well as Waldorf:Sometimes, after my laptop screen has gone dark because of idleness, and I try to "revive" it by pressing a few random keys, the screen only goes from black to really dark, so that I can barely make out the windows I had open.
I am sure a lot of people is missing the old #! Shiki-Statler-Dark Theme I have uploaded the obt (Openbox Theme) of the original Shiki-Statler-Dark Theme. There is also a folder which contain the gtk2.0, openbox3, and xfwm4 files.1. Download the #! Shiki-Statler-Dark Theme which I have upload.2. Extract the tar.gz 3.
I am trying to install 12.4 LTS on my wife's Dell All-in-One Inspiron One. I am using a previously-used CD image, so I know the CD is OK. Install process starts normally with the line-by-line output, but before the graphical output starts, the display goes dark and stays dark.
I like dark colors for my desktop customization, dark greys, ect. Only problem is it affects more than I'd like. Such as internet sites, buttons being black with black text, or text boxes black and the text isn't white it's black :/ it's rather frustrating. But I was wondering if any of you have gotten around it?
I just replaced my LCD screen with an eBay replacement and followed a youtube video to install. Everything went back together well, but now the screen is so dark, I can barely see anything. I checked and I DO have the little rubber piece over the proximity sensor and have tried multiple times to make sure that it is in good alignment. I could still have it off-center I suppose, but I've tried.
I recently ordered samsung galaxy note 2 original pouch in dark brown color and received it today. Something doesnt look right here. I ordered dark brown, the box says dark brown, receipt also says dark brown, but it very much looks like chocolote brown. How can that be?
Hi,
I have a strange problem, the corners of the screen are 'blinking'. It's not completely going dark, but it seems like my screen has a too low refresh rate (although it's set to 60HZ and it's the only one available).
Hi,
I have defined .bashrc custom colors. Escape secuences for bold colors is "\e[1;" and the same for dark colors.
So, on a real console (tty) I'll see darker colors, but on xterm/rxvt on X I'll see bold colors.
Then, how can I set it to see 16 colors (8 normal/8 darker or lighter) on a X server terminal app?
I have this funny issue where my screen will goes dimmer, when the window with dark background grows bigger. In the reverse, my screen will goes brighter when majority of the screen have white background.
I am using it with Dell XPS 15z on ubuntu 12.04.
