My computer sometimes suddenly restarts. This issue has always existed, and I can't seem to figure it out :/ Have been living with this issue for more than a year, now it's time that it changes!
The computer is just suddenly off, and starts up again.
It's completely random, sometimes it doesn't happen for days, sometimes two or more times right after another.

my phone restarts occasionally. i got it a month ago....rooted it. love it :)
installed usual apps. first i thought it restarts when i slide out the keyboard and thought it was 2/2 to loose battery connection ..... but it does even without sliding out keyboard. around once a week (may be more and i may not have noticed...u cant tell :)
anyone else having similar issue?

I have observed that my computer is restarting "twice" whenever I try to restart Fedora 18.
Detailed description (as detailed as i can):
When F18 is restarting the first time, it appears the "emblem contour" indicating the progress of the startup.

After months of running the same radios and roms, my wife's thunderbolt and my thunderbolt started restarting, sometimes getting past the booting screens and sometimes not. I'm guessing the towers/network can change and have issues with a working phone way after. I tried a lot of combinations of the radios and roms with no luck. I live in a 3g only area.
I want to start a thread (so I did, as you can obviously see at this point) so we can log possible and confirmed causes for random reboots. I think there are multiple issues at hand, it happens in all LG stock base Rom builds, and obviously is caused by multiple problems, some of which have "solutions" found.

On my notebook (Athlon X2 64 bit with Radeon HD 3400, new Catalyst 12.1 - Ubuntu 11.10 with Gnome 3.2.2) I experience random and often restarts of my gnome panel on top and the window-borders (the black ones around, where you can find the X to close the window).

Hey,Good news, I think I figured it out. I had a clear hint yesterday when I tried to use the scp command and got a "PRNG not seeded" error. After some research I noticed that my /dev/urandom looked very weird, and my /dev/random didn't exist at all.
