Hi,I think the driver for this wireless card is not included by default.Could anyone help me configure the wireless card to work properly? This maybe some useful ... [by asanchez1987]
Hello everyone.:) I installed Ubuntu 10.04 amd64. I cannot connect via wireless. When I left clink on the "wireless" icon on desktop, not reading any wireless spots. I have RaLink RT3090 PCIe for wireless card. Then I uninstalled Ubuntu 10.04.
Next I tried running Live CD (quicker than installing) of Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat Alpha3.
I'm running openSuse 11.3 64-bit on an HP Pavillion p6510f. It has an
onboard RaLink wireless N (RT3090). NetworkManager is able to configure and
use the wireless device. Ifup is unable to initialize the driver (rt2860).
My wifi speed drops from ~600 kbps to >50 kbps within a few seconds after connecting to the wifi. There is no problem with speeds on my windows 7 environment nor my phone. I have tried other distros like fedora and Gnome Ubuntu but the problem remains. Due to these low speeds i cannot update or even check what the problem is any help will be appreciated.
I installed a copy of Ubuntu on a separate partition. However when I select Ubuntu and it loads, I can't not get my wireless card to work. I have an HP Pavillion dv9000 and I am aware that have a particular driver for the wireless card that they use for this model.
I cannot get the wireless card on a Dell Inspiron 14 to work. I am using SUSE 11.2 16 bit OS, which does not recognize the wireless card. The card is Dell 1397 mini card with a chipset BCM4315 - a broadcom wireless chip.
I would appreciate a link to a driver and firmware for the card or, if I need to use ndiswrapper a link to the appropriate 16 bit windows driver.
