This is my first time installing Arch Linux in a few years. The installation seemed to go fine, but I can't boot into it. At this point, when I try to boot into it this is my console output: http://pastie.org/9389435First of all, what confuses me about this output are the RAID lines.
1. How is RAID1 different from a backup copy updated constantly? I am asking this in the context of various comments I encountered in different forums by people saying that RAID is not backup and you must have a backup in place even if you choose to have RAID.
I am using Fedora 8 for my server and have a software RAID consisting of RAID0 of two drives for storage and a RAID1 configuration for the OS. In order to upgrade to 11 (or 12) I have to reinstall Fedora. I only care about keeping the data on the RAID0, so will the data on my software RAID0 be lost if I reinstall a new version of Fedora?
