Here's how I added as much as a 128GB of high-speed removable storage to a MacBook — or for that matter any device with an SD card slot — and freed up a USB port in the process.
Looks like speed bumps all around, and the 15" Retina is now standard 16GB RAM, still at the $1999 price point with 256GB storage with Iris Pro. GT750 still on the higher end model.
The 4GB Retina has gone away. Still offering the 128GB storage though.. meh, I can think of a couple of odd edge cases where it would be ok.
I have a 2011 Macbook Air (MC965LL/A). It's the 1.7Ghz i5 model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB SSD flash storage.
This one has the Samsung screen and the faster Samsung SSD. The screen, keyboard and trackpad are all mint.
