I want to flash back to stock cause I'm missing some of the Samsung functionality, but I can't seem to find out what my firmware is. I got an unbranded, unlocked s3, bought in Indonesia. That whole #*1234* thing is to check the model is not working for some reason. And the check fuss downloader is very windows, I'm running mac.
soo i wanted to install a flash player on my fone. I had no idea what i was doing to begin with so i youtubed what to do and i eventually ended up downloading odin and samsung kies to try and i guess "root" my fone. Long story short, my fone is stuck on this screen with yellow cone and fone on one side cpu screen on other side and it says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue.
I have a samsung galaxy s and have been trying to put icecream sandwhich on it and for some reason when I put it in recovery it does not let me install packages and i read faqs how to install ICS they say use nandroid backup but mine will not show up on the recovery.
Also kies mini which it says i need for my phone claims im on the most current version....

Hello friends! Now Ive been testing a few mods....
The list is long...... and there been countless hours of hacking and reverting. But now Im exited to bring great news!
I have a zip for testing. Although I did test my self. no build.prop so this mods work on all android. but my settings are mostly personalized to dhd/inspire.
To become a tester, first do a nandroid.
How do I go from stock Froyo (Firmware version: 2.2.1) to stock GB (Firmware version: 2.3.6) on and already rooted phone!?!?

Hi I was doing a search for additional mods for CM9.1 however couldn't find any. i absolutely love this Rom it has run smoothest and solid for me, but new kernels and mods seem to be for exclusively either stock based ics or jb bases Roms. My question is whether there is an index of or mods/kernels for CM9.1 on Xperia or xda forums?

Please note, these have at this point only been tested on the WiFi version. Some or all may work on the 3G version, but no promises. Flash at your own risk.
I am sure many will agree that choosing between a true stock experience and the plethera of custom roms (and thier many lovely options) can be a challenge. Myself, I usually go with the CyanogenMod myself, just for the options.
hiiiiii...im using sony xperia U i installed many tweaks and mods on to stock ics ROM...when we back up this ROM with custom recovery does it also backup's tweaks and mods so that i can restore them..?
