question: best tv box for under 100€?

Hi all. I am new to smart phones.

I have an iPhone4s, and I wanted to get rid of the video playing feature, that is, I want to have a phone that CANNOT play videos, ever. I have discovered that the 4s' platform cannot be altered. Someone told me that an Android's platform can. So, this is what I need to know:

1) If I get an Android phone, which might you recommend?

My family has always had iphones, but now we want to switch to Android. If I buy a app on ios, I can share it with my family, up to 10 devices. I can delete an app and re download / install it as many times as I need without being charged again.

Does the Google Play Store work the same? If I buy a app for a android phone, will it work on a Android Tablet?

I have it already connected to a Mobile WiFi over the China Mobile via a USB WiFi Dongle and downloaded some apps. Some apps I use are blocked in china (TuneIn Radio, Pandora, etc), and i'm looking for a way to have a VPN on it.

recently i get an HTC amaze 4G android phone and i made it a rooted device. Next i was trying to access my phone from a desktop PC using SSH via USB and i don't know how this is done.

Moreover, I saw the SSHDroid app connects over Wi-Fi but i would like, if possible, to connect it over USB.
