http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I know every nic needs a driver to let the kernel talk to it. I know a pxe capable nic is needed on a machine that will be a pxe client - that is - a machine that will install the Fedora 17 operating system that is sent to it by the pxe server on the same network. I know that pxe capable nic contacts the pxe server and loads the files needed to install the operating system on the machine it is attached to, when the BIOS is set to network boot and the machine is turned on. My question is, does this pxe capable nic need a driver to communicate with the kernel it is downloading from the (HowTos)
