I was thinking about buying the International unlocked Galaxy SIII GT I9300 and saw how it would be cheaper in the long run, but my main motivation was being able to move from carrier to carrier if I wanted to and not having a contract. I seem to be reading though that the international version is only compatible with AT&T and T-mobile at 3G and is not capable of 4G speeds at all.
My Verizon contract is up next month and I want to buy a Galaxy Note 2. I want to go off-contract because it works out so much cheaper that way (and I am a commitment phobe :p). I'm overwhelmed by all the different options. Can anyone help?
I am not a heavy phone user. Verizon tells me that my average monthly iPhone usage is 120 voice minutes, 97 texts, and 471 MB data.
HTC Thunderbolt user here (Verizon)
just wondering if you are able to go on vacation to another country and use a SIM card from a carrier in the Note 2? anyone know?
my contract with the Thunderbolt is up sometime next month and I want the Note 2 but not sure if I will stay with Verizon or jump to T-Mobile.
PLEASE...I need help in the worst way. LOL
I want to purchase Sprint EVO 4G phones for my two sons who are currently with Virgin Mobile. I love Virgin service and don't want to switch carriers but THEY really want these phones. The EVO's on the V-Mobile site are way too costly so I was trying to find a sweet deal on E-bay.
I heard this was possible... Is it?
So based on the Wireless Charging issues in the T889, I've just bought an AT&T note 2 on ebay to use on T-Mobile. I plan to unlock it and enable AWS through the hack in this thread:

My question is, once I've done this should everything work just as well as a T-Mobile Note 2? Is there anything else I need to worry about like an APN?
We already kind of knew this was the case with the various leaks we’ve seen over the last few weeks, but Samsung just officially announced that the Galaxy Note II will be available in the U.S. soon. All five major carriers; AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and U.S. Cellular will carry the phablet and will be available in time for the holidays.
So my wife has an ancient iPhone 3G with a nice big crack on the back (better than the front, though, right?) and I have an EVO 4G. Neither of us are on contract and I'm eyeing the new Nexus 4 for both of us and switch us from AT&T (her) and Sprint (me) to T-Mobile.
T-Mobile customers can breathe a sigh of relief today. Not just because the Samsung Galaxy Note II has been spotted with T-Mobile branding, but because the device doesn’t seem to feature the same carrier branded home button as the Verizon variant that we saw last month.
Hello I am buying a galaxy note gt-n7100 it is 2 months old. I searched but could not find answers. My question is how is it after 2 months of use? does it noticeably slow down does the battery get worse? the person said it is in perfect condition.
This next question here is aimed at Canadians, Will the the international gt-n7100 work on wind mobile? I checked it has GSM and UMTS bands.
