Qualcomm's new S4 Pro quad-core SoC packs a powerful punch, blowing away most of the competition. This new silicon will find a home in LG's upcoming 4G LTE handset, the LG Optimus G.
As reported earlier, Qualcomm’s latest mobile development platform (MDP), the Snapdragon S4 Pro Dev is now available. Powering this device is their new APQ8064 chipset based on a quad core Snapdragon S4. Given the strong numbers posted by dual core S4 chips against quad core chipsets from other manufacturers, it should be no surprise that the quad core S4 just blows them away.
Well we can’t say that we’re too surprised here. After hearing about a certain LG quad-core device being worked on behind the scenes, it took a few more hints like Qualcomm being all giddy and even a tease from LG to really generate more interest and excitement.
