hi alli am new to e17, and have met some problems with iconsmany apps dependes on hicolor-icon-theme (such like firefox).but it seems that e17 can not find the icons in a icon theme (can not find firefox.png in /usr/share/icon/hicolor/48x48/apps/firefox.png)i have searched and the google says icon theme can be choosed in [ settings > setting panel > look > icon theme ]but there is no icon
Hello,Ive been trying for a while now to change the icon theme. I have previously and I'm not sure what the problem is. Right now my icon theme is set to Oxygen and I tried to change it to another, but when I hit apply the button darkens but no changes actually take place. Logging out/in doesn't affect anything. My system is fully upgraded using lxappearance 0.5.2-1.
I found the solution,it was a strange bug in X server related to icon theme cursor,in /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme I have set a custom icon theme for the X server :[Icon Theme]
Inherits=Oxygen_Whitewhen I saw the word "libXcursor" in the backtrace it gives me an idea : avoid my setting and set the original icon theme :[Icon Theme]

You shouldn't need to be root to install a user theme. Can you change back to the default icon theme and see if the problem persists?EDIT: change icon theme with lxappearance (Settings -> User Interface Settings)or you can edit .gtkrc-2.0 and set gtk-icon-theme-name="Crunchbang"
I think the title pretty much covers it. I've gone through the wiki page Uniform Look for QT and GTK Applications and it has a lot of great information for how to get themes without icons working in qt applications, but there doesn't seem to be much about how to get the icon themes over. I tried using the oxygen, faenza, and elementary icon themes but none of them seem to get
