WordPress 3.0, Beta 1 has been released today. WordPress 3.0 will bring many new features to the blogging platform that I'm sure we are all waiting for. You can read the official announcement at the WordPress blog.

KDE (K Desktop Environment) 4.4 beta 2 is available for testing today. This is the second beta release of the 4.4 series and brings with it a preview and base for helping to stabilize the next version of the KDE Plasma Workspaces, Applications and Development Platform.
The second beta of the upcoming KDE SC 4.6 has been released. KDE SC 4.6 Beta 2 is significantly more stable than the first beta and is close enough to the final version that more curious users should be able to give it a try without too much risk. Firefox fans have reason to celebrate, the first beta of the upcoming Firefox 4 is here and there’s plenty to like. Firefox 4 Beta 1 is just the first step, of many, towards the final release, but things are shaping up already.
