I'm returning my phone for issues with the power button being unresponsive and wanted to relock the bootloader and return it to stock software and recovery. I'm good on everything except the recovery.
Hello,
I am currently running rooted stock rom with HTC Dev unlocked bootloader with clockwork recovery. When I tried to download and install OTA it of course fails. I installed stock recovery, same thing installation always stucks at 1/3. I tried relocking bootloader, i tried un root.
I unlocked my bootloader from htcdev , flashed TWRP recovery , made a nandroid backup of stock rom , flashed su . while I wanted to flash custom I came to know that i have to flash 4ext recovery and enable smartflash (as i am s-on). I successfully flashed custom rom . Now i wanted to return to stock rom(which is updated to ICS ) . But when i restored the stock rom it struck at htc logo.
Hey guys,

So far from everything I've read I need to root and S-OFF my phone as well as unlock the bootloader and back up the stock ROM (for warranty

I downloaded the nandroid that matched my ID, HTC_044. Restored the backup, all was fine but the ROM was rooted. Flashed stock recovery and kernel too.
I then deleted the SU files from system/app and system/bin and /xbin.
Hello Genius developers at XDA!
I have a bit of an issue
I got my hands on a Droid Incredible running stock 2.3.4 and decided to root it. I unlocked my bootloader using HTCDev, downgraded to 2.2, rooted, flashed CWM, flashed the unrevoked forever s-off patch, flashed superuser, then began testing custom roms.
