[Q]Removing bloatware

http://forum.xda-developers.com – I did a quick search and didn't see anything so sorry if this is a repeat. My friend has the VZW Note II and I used ExynosAbuse to root it for him. He's planning on unlocking the bootloader later on but I wanted to check one thing. Will removing bloatware do anything to the phone while the bootloader is still locked? I have an LG spectrum and while it had a locked bootloader you couldn't remove certain apps without causing a soft brick. I wanted to check before I tell him it's safe to get rid of stuff. (HowTos)

Basically, After performing the S-off and flashing JB 1.50 together, It doesnt show weither the bootloader is locked or not anymore. How do you tell if it is locked?

Can the bootloader be locked while on a different Hboot?

This isnt causing any problems yet, But I am curious about this now. :confused:

So, my lovely XZ that is supposedly locked to Three UK says bootloader unlockable=no. However, when I hold up and plug in the usb, the light goes blue and Flashtool reports that a fastboot device is connected. Isn't fastboot unusable on a locked bootloader?

Hi, I wanted to root my phone, but it has a locked bootloader. I looked on a couple of turorials, and flashed a kernel. After that all Google Apps disappeared, and errors came, such as Keypad stopped working, and Android stopped working and stuff like that. And i couldn't root. So i want to know how to fix this how to unlock the bootloader.

Hi all, I've got myself a carrier branded and locked SK17a (Mini Pro). I want to unlock the bootloader to install a couple of custom roms, but I was wondering if sim unlocking the phone would change the bootloader unlockability to yes.

I was searching for a nice GB Rom for my Ray, but I have a locked bootloader :(

So I was wondering, is there a cool rom for locked bootloader? Cause i really don't want ICS...

(And someone ported MIUI for locked bootloader, but the ICS version, is this possible to put MIUI GB into a locked bootloader?)

Recently I rooted my phone without unlocking bootloader. I took help from this site in doing so. Now I need to flash custom rom on to my rooted device with locked bootloader.

Guys, I didn't find any explanation for this here, and I still have a problem. I have HTC EVO 3D GSM..

I was on 1.53 hboot and I unlocked bootloader via HTCdev.com. After that I wanted to do s-off with "wire trick"..I successfully made it. I wanted to install Disarmed Toaster ROM, but I had a bootloop.
