I am attempting to flash my OG to another carrier. I have everything working except 3G. Right now all I have is 1x. The "norm" is to use QPST to get into the EFS file system to install the necessary files to gain 3G. QPST detects the phone and port but not as a phone, it has a ? before the model number displayed on the port.
Since you have to have the paid version of CDMA workshop to update the PRL. I wanted to try it using QPST.
Does anyone know how we get access with qpst on this phone?
have photon Q trying to access it using QPST or DFS tool.
i did put it in to diag mode, downloaded Motorola USB 4.7.1 drivers but still do not see it being assign a com port under device manager / ports.
any one can help as to what is needed.

Quick question, I'm doing the 3G Boost and I've never used QPST before. It recognizes my phone, the ESN matches but the phone number it gives me is incorrect, it's a phone number for a totally different county! Is this going to affect anything?

I'm trying to restore my USCC S3's IMEI with QPST version 2.7.378. The program recognized my phone properly, but when I go into RF NV Manager, put in the COM port, and hit File->Read From Phone, I get the following error:

I can not connect my PREVAIL (Build: GINGERBREAD.EJO6) via QPST.
My Prevail is not in ports list (look attach picture #1), i think there should be.
I`he done:
1. Select DM in the Data port menu (##7678# ...)
2. Select USB in the PhoneUtil-DM menu (##8778#...)
3. USB debugging enabled (checked)
4. In the QPST Configuration
a. Ports tab
b. click "Add New Port"....
while messing around in QPST i decided to load one of my saved files from work i had done on another samsung admire i then wrote to the phone and on reboot i had lost 1x and 3g :mad: before i did this i had prl 3029 but now my system information says i have prl 3026.
