Hello every one.Recently i have tried to hard reset my gs2 but failed miserably.I first tried the secret code but it wanted me to delete my samsung account.Logicaly i tried that but also failed. The next step was to try through settings menu agsin without any luck. Finally i tried through cmw recovery but phone stuck at the s logo.
Is there sth else i can do?
I'm on stock rom 4.03+philz kernel
This is how to perform a hard reset on this phone.
Take the battery out. Put it back in. Press and hold the following keys at the same time for about 1 to 2 seconds until the touch key backlights turn on: Power/Lock Key and Down Volume Key.
As soon as the backlight on the touch keys is turned on, release the keys.
My Samsung Focus is stuck on a blinking Samsung Logo screen (black, with just Samsung writing). It has been stuck like this for the past twelve hours or so, and I have attempted to take the battery out for half an hour before replacing it, as well as a hard reset and simply restarting the phone. Nothing works, as it stays on the blinking Samsung Logo screen.
Now that I've got my apps chosen, I'm thinking about restoring factory settings and doing a clean install.
The phone is successfully rooted. If I hard reset, will the phone remain rooted?
As an aside: Settings/Privacy/Factory data reset vs. the power/volume down/clear storage deal? Are they both equally effective when working with the stock ROM?
Thanks,
Jake
So today I was having a couple issues with my data connection (resolved) but every step of the way sprint wanted to do a hard reset.. No matter how many times I said no and explained about the secure Element within google wallets NFC technology...my question is... Is there a safe way to do a hard reset? Or should we stay away from performing a hard Reset altogether?
Hello,
So I have an issue. I dropped my phone the other day and cracked the screen. The screen also does not turn on anymore. I received my insurance replacement today and have rooted it and am in the process of setting it all back up again. I have replaced the phone before and used the TeamEpic unroot to unroot and reset the counter when I did it last time.
Hi all,
suppose that some apps has damaged my phone and I want to do a factory reset on a stock but promoted ROM.
May I damage the phone by factory reset a rooted stock ROM?
If yes how can I reset the phone?
Hello all,
I recently had to do a reset on my phone (Droid X2) to erase a Google account that had to be deactivated because my university changed our domain.
When I did the hard reset, all my contacts remained untouched and fine, but all of my photos and videos were damaged.
i've seen apps like Cerberus which can survive hard reset of phone. I want to add similar functionality in my app that has security features such as anti theft.
