Hey guys does anyone know if there are any apps to create ad hoc wifi. Or hack tethering so works in airplane mode. I'm wanting to create a poor man's reversing camera using my sgs2, nexus7, ip webcam app plus Vlc to watch the stream. I just need my devices to work in ad hoc. Thanks in advance.

i am so new at this and really need help from you guys.

i have read several thread about how to root your phone and already stuffed with some general ideas of what is rooting, and some terms like rom and kernel. but yet still confused about how to really start the rooting itself.

I have sgs2 GT-I9100 G when i triyng to update firmware using kies it shows "Your divice’s current firmware version is not not supporetd to update firmware via kies" what should i do about this problem

I finally did it, I rooted my SGS2 i9100!

However, I have a problem. I see where CWM and Superuser are........but there is no busybox. This is the kernel I flashed from chainfire:

CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEN_KK2-v5.0-CWM5

I could really use some help.

Hi I am on gingerbread 2.3.6 with stock rom and speed mod kernel. I was wondering whether it will work if I flash an ICS firmware that is for GT i9100 but from different regions? Because I wanted to install the revolt jelly bean rom.

Does a JB kernel exist that has cifs.ko? I can't find one anywhere. There is one for the I9100 SGS2 but I suppose that's just a horrible idea, isn't it?

I'd like to know if it's possible to install the old gallery app from sgs2 (GT-I9100) on a GT-I9300. I've seen ports of the new gallery on s2 so I'm guessing it should work the other way too.

I really dislike how the new gallery ignores folder structure, otherwise no complaints.
