how to connect OS "ubuntu 9:10" as the host, with Qemu as a guest.?
I can not connect from the host to geust, how to connect??I use Samba to connect the host to the guest.
I was able to ping from guest to host, but from host to guest can not ping .. why???
I have a Qemu-KVM host system setup on CentOS 6.3. Four 1TB SATA HDDs working in Software RAID10. Guest CentOS 6.3 is installed on separate LVM. People say that they see guest performance almost equal to host performance, but I don't see that. My i/o tests are showing 30-70% slower performance on guest than on host system.
on both host and guest running CentOS 6.3 with KVM/Qemu virtualization, I have the following scenarios:
"virsh shutdown kvm1" did not shutdown at all. virsh lists guest as running.
"service libvirt-guests stop" did not shutdown in 280 seconds (shutdown_timeout=300. on_shutdown=shutdown)
"shutdown now" from within guest, guest becomes unreachable.
I've got Linux Ubuntu on my Virtualmachine. My host IP adress is 10.0.20.56 from host I can connect to DMZ - 192.168.1.34 but when I want to connect from guest machine (I setup NAT connection type and IP adress gave by VirtualBox is 10.0.2.15) when I try to connect to DMZ i get always info network is unreachable or no route to host.
I have Windows 7 as guest OS on my Ubuntu 12.04 host through Virtualbox. I use dial-up connection (ppp0) through a USB dongle on host machine to access Internet. However, when my host is connected to the Internet, guest (Windows 7) is not able to connect to the Internet, either using NAT or Bridge method in Virtualbox. What could be the problem?
