Guys have anyone of you tried to ask for warranty after you have rooted your one x?
Cause in some cases like samsung they also say that when you root your phone your warranty is void but in fact eventhough you rooted it and bricked it and asked for warranty they will give you the warranty?? Is it the same with htc? :)

Hi everyone -
I have a Sensation that I bought new from my cell carrier in late January. I sent it in for warranty repair last week for dust under the screen, and HTC informed me that the phone had been rooted and the warranty is void because of it. Now, I am completely clueless as to how to do this, so am confident that the phone was rooted before I purchased it.
I was rooted only my Xperia arc not unlock bootloader. Will I lose my warranty ? I'm afraid if I unlock my bootloader I will lose my warranty ? Does root Xperia void my warranty ?

I read through few posts about people being able to claim their warranty even after unlocking their bootloader , now these people had almost the same problem ..there screen wouldn't display anything or their phone wouldn't boot up at all.
Hi.
I have a relatively new Galaxy S3, came with a warranty. I want to install launchers to it but I do not want to void my warranty, and I don't want to root the device. I wanted to ask if it's possible to install launchers without rooting, and if installing launchers voids the warranty.

Hi guys,
My question is pretty much as stated in the title.
I want to root my phone and install a custom rom, but I dont want to fall out of warranty coverage so I'm looking at buying a third party policy that covers actual damages (faulty parts, electrical component failure, screen failure, etc) on phones that are rooted.

so far from what i read and comprehend so far is if i were to root my note (via http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1955423) and install a rom ( either one of the recently updated myroms) my warranty is void
however, if i were to download an app (triangle way i think?) it would reset a counter to 0 and then i could just flash a stock rom so that tmobile wont know the difference in ca
