My MicroUSB port is broken (well, it works occasionally, but not reliably, and the fixes I've read about haven't really helped. And It's out of warranty.) I charge the battery with an external battery charger.
The phone is not currently rooted and I don't have ClockworkMod Recovery on it.
I do have a microSD card and microSD card reader.
Is it still possible to install a custom ROM?
I love my vivid but every once in awhile it'll freeze or get sluggish and you need to reset it. So I do, but everytime I reset it, it goes to a screen saying android is updating like its downloading ics all over again? What's happening?

So nobody wants to see their microUSB cable sticking straight up out of the phone. Looks like crap, especially in the car. Safe to say, you have options.
USBfirewire makes angled microUSB cables that should fit anyone's bill. The two that will appeal most to us Epic user would be the left angle and the up angle.
The HTC Vivid is about to get a little bit better. How much better you ask? Well Vivid owners— you’re looking at a heaping scoop of the newest Android dessert with a side of an enhanced audio experience. That’s right folks— Ice Cream Sandwich and “diet” Sense 4.0 is finally here.
Hi, since my tv is stupid (it's not one of those smart ones with wi fi) I was looking for another way of displaying the n4 screen on my tv. I was wondering if a simple mhl cable would do the trick?
It seems as if I have lost my charging adapter somewhere. I still have the USB cable part of the charger, but the block that plugs into the wall is missing. I tried to simply plug in the usb cable to one of my phone wall adapters, but that didn't work. Any idea of a replacement besides buying the $35 ASUS cable/adapter combo?
