Yes I was wondering how I would go about updating an PRL on my Verizon Galaxy S3 on Straight talk. Rooted,Running JB and Cyanogenmod Rom. I know the normal way would be *228 and #2. But can not do that on this phone correct?
OK so I have an GS2 running:
rom = 20120806 CM9
kernel version = 3.0.32-CM-ge9cef6cinky-ghost@cyanogenmod#1 SMP PREEMPT Sun Aug 5
Baseband = I9100XXKE7
Android = 4.0.4
Ok so I did the whole Odin thing for the first and only time around March/April updating from GB and haven't touched the kernel version of this phone again so it's quite old.
I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus that I bought on ebay about a week ago. itcame with no SIM card. So before doing proper research I bought a straight talk sim/umlimited plan.
1.) They sent me the wrong size sim card so i had to cut it down to fitmy vzw gnex...
2.) surprise surprise...my gnex wont recognize my sim WHICH also btw has had my old cricket phone number already ported to it.
So I recently bought a Droid 2 Global off of ebay. I got the phone and it was relatively fine. It came with the android 2.3.3 system. I decided that I want to flash cyanogenmod onto it. I rooted it and that went fine. I then attempted to open up the cyanogenmod from clockworkmod recovery. This didnt work. I kept getting an error message. So I gave up and did a factory reset and wiped everything.

Hey guys. I own the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S .
I keep seeing all these topics about OTA updates, and Verizon updates, and I feel like I am missing something by not going completely back to stock to update.
Am I?
Because as far as being rooted, I change the ROM I use, the Kernel, some root apps...I don't know.
Basically, is there ANY reason for me to go back to stock to update besides seeing how Official JB looks?
Thanks in advance.
I've been running Cyanogenmod 9 for a couple of months, but decided to restore to stock so I can try out ICS and the new version of sense. I tried this a while ago but got stuck when when phone wasn't recognised via USB when connected to my laptop. Fastboot would change to Fastboot USB when plugged in, but the phone wasn't picked up.
Ok, so I haven't played around with rooting and roming in quite awhile. I've been happy with my setup, but my girlfriend isn't happy with hers anymore. This is her setup
Android version 2.3.5
Baseband BP_C_01.09.13P
Mod CyanogenMod-7.1.0-RCO-DROIDX-KANG
Build Number GRH78C
What would I need to do to get her to the newest version of MIUI?
