I think/hope this might be an easy question.
I have an xperia S that has bootloader unlocked and currently running a custom rom. In the next few weeks I may be swapping the phone with a family member. How would I go about getting the phone back on stock Sony firmware.
I've upgraded to ICS and I was hoping to get the stock emoticons (It's funny, from my searching, most people don't like them and want to get rid of them). They can be found under this directory:
/system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/drawable-xhdpi/
There should be 17 files named:
emo_im_xxxxx.png
I just want the PNGs of the stock ICS instead of Sony's, if somebody doesn't mind.
Using MIUI 1.11.25 and love this ROM although I'm now having a strange problem. Had to go back to Stock ROM temporarily to activate my phone when I switched phone numbers.
After that I restored Nandroid backup of MIUI 1.11.25 I had been using that was working fine a few days ago (could make and receive calls with no problems).

Has anyone seen this yet? It looks pretty cool if one could get it to work. I tried it using broken out as a base and the only things I could get to recompile is camera.apk DownloadProvider.apk android.policy.jar and one other one I dont remember then it errored out on framework.apk.
OK, a strange one here.
First of all, hi, I'm new :o
I've somehow managed to delete my stock SMS app.
I was having trouble downloading a picture someone had sent me as an MMS and read that a third party SMS app would be preferable. So, I downloaded Go SMS Pro. All was fine until I tried to set it a my default SMS app.
Okay, i attempted to root a friends WFS
I unlocked the bootloader and flashed root.zip
It was Unlocked.
After that I flashed Superuser.zip that I found from somewhere and then directly flashed a modified Stock Rom that i'm using on my own phone.
The phone is stuck on the HTC screen (white one with green HTC) and it refuses to move forward.
I've been migrating from many ROMs and I noticed that stock Sony ROM has a significantly better battery. Even though stock Sony has a lot of bloatware it performs better but AOSP ROMs are a lot smoother. I heavily use my phone with the screen on more than three hours and WiFi on.Has anyone other than me noticed that? Or is it just me.
Quick question: Girlfriend uses a GS3, loves the lock screen notifications for texts and such, dislikes being unable to do group SMS messaging (iPhone style; she came from a 4S). I stepped in, helped setup GO SMS and now the group messaging works (well enough, anyways), however, now there is no notification badge for texts.
