Well, I've never worked with .wav files, so the following may be incorrect; you'll have to verify this on your own.As I read things, .wav files may be compressed but the python Wave module only supports uncompressed files, so you should test that your file is uncompressed.if 'NONE' != musicfile.getcomptype(): sys.exit()If 'getcomptype' instead returns something like &

Hello to all you video buffs :)
I have a video dvd which I copied to my hard disk, i.e. I have the VIDEO_TS folder with the VOB files in it. I want to convert those VOB file segments of the main movie into one big, uncompressed *.MPEG file. I can open and append them in Avidemux, where I chose MPEG as the container format and 'copy' for both audio and video.
I have to handle files that come as uncompressed text files or in various archive types (.gz, .zip, .tar.gz, bz2...). I want to process their content piped to another command. Is there a tool that detects whether a file is compressed and prints it content uncompressed? The best I could find is a combination of zcat (some archive types) and cat (non-compressed files).
If the direct download fails for some reason it's possible to download themes from your browser, open them with ark, and drop the uncompressed folder to ~/.kde4/share/apps/desktoptheme
i have downloaded this theme from kde-look: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/?content=150944
How i can install it? I copied uncompressed files to ~.kde/share/apps/desktoptheme/ but doesnt works.
Thanks.
Have you ever seen all 16 Million colors together? This guy named David Naylor has made a Picture which contains all the 16 million colours. Amazing, huh?Lets see what he tells about this image :

Linux: Fedora Core release 1 (Yarrow)
iPlanet: iPlanet-WebServer-Enterprise/6.0SP1
Log Path: /usr/iplanet/servers/https-company/logs
I have iPlanet log rotation enabled rotating files on a daily basis.
The rotated logs are NOT compressed & are taking up too much space.
