[Q] Tethering Rezound to Nexus 7

http://forum.xda-developers.com – First off, my rezound is NOT rooted. I use Foxfi on it and can tether using the bluetooth option to my nexus 7, but a lot of the applications don't recognize it as an actual internet connection (example: i can browse around the play store but when i try to download an app it just gets stuck at waiting for network.) Before the ICS update Foxfi wouldn't even let me turn on the WiFi hotspot function. After the ICS update it will now turn on the WiFi hotspot but my nexus 7 will not connect to it. It just gets stuck at "acquiring IP address" and will not go passed that. tl;dr if someo (HowTos)

I have the R800a model of the Xperia Play, running 2.3.4, stock standard and not rooted.

I'm experiencing some very strange behaviour when I turn on wifi hotspot tethering on my phone. When I do, it seems some 3G functionality in the phone is lost.

Been experimenting with tethering my Nexus 7 to my Razr MAXX via Bluetooth using PDANet Tablet on the Nexus and PDANet/Foxfi on the phone. While it works for general browsing, I noticed some apps can't connect (Reddit client BaconReader for example, also HBO GO sometimes among a couple others ) at all claiming there is no network available.

Is there a reason for this, or a fix?

FoxFi is a great app but with the free version of foxfi you get knocked off the internet by the app and told to purchase the full version or restart app. Don't want to pay your service provider or for an app to make your android phone a wifi hotspot? I am trying to use FoxFi with my Nexus 7 tablet. I have a Photon 4G that I am running it on. I just did a factory reset on my Photon and my tablet is brand new. I can connect for only a few minutes and my Nexus 7 will drop connection but FoxFi shows that it is still turned on, just does not show it is connected anymore.

I am stock ics unrooted on razr maxx hd. Foxfi used to work but now my laptop restarts every time i try to connect to foxfi. I tried to connect to foxfi bluetooth but i couldn't get to the page in which bluetooth connects to internet on my laptop.

Is there a free wifi tether app for unrooted razr maxx hd that still works?

I have an Acer Iconia 7" A100 8GB Tablet with version 4.0.3 and a new Motorola Razar M from Verizon. I have attempted to try and tether using Pdanet Tablet and FoxFi with both Wifi and Bluetooth, but they both do not work. The Wifi says it is Obtaining the IP Address, but never receives it.
