I have previously rooted my ZTE Score and had full functionality with superuser and busybox. everything was fine. then, I accidently wiped my phone and now I cant, for the life of me, get superuser to update the binary to "gain root access". i've tried to use Super Oneclick, Zerg and z4 to "reroot" my phone and all have claimed to have succeeded.
I bought this phone yesterday, Rooted this morning before work, Voodoo backed it up, and updated to the newest update,
Now when I try to Restore root everything looks grand except Superuser says the su binary is not found.
The su binary is located in /system/bin I believe or xbin but none the less its there.
I've just updated to ICS via OTA, unlocked, flashed amonra, installed su from amonra (rooted).
Titanium Backup cannot get root rights.
Superuser (3.1.3) shows outdated binary (3.0.3). When I click "check for updates" and then Update, it downloads new binary, but then says "Gaining root access... fail!"
What's wrong? Am I really rooted?
Please help!
Ok so other than my initial hello this is my first post ever. I have just rooted my Samsung infuse using Odin on gb 2.3.6 everything went smoothly and my phone is up and working fine afterwards but....now what? I have my phone rooted. I have superuser and downloaded a couple root apps ie Titanium backup, root explorer, screenshot it. I foze all my bloatware.
So after having my Nexus 7 for a few months I finally decided to root it a month or so ago.
I unlocked the bootloader, flashed CWM Recovery and super user and all that good stuff.
I haven't really used any apps that required root up until yesterday when I went and tried to install adfree. I uninstalled and then reinstalled the app and still nothing. I then tried installed ad away.
ok. so i had a rooted phone. no problems. then i upgraded sd card and the trouble happened. needless to say i ended up unrooting with gingerbreak(what i used to root). i verified this with root checker. all my root apps stayed on my phone tho along with superuser. i then tried to root again with gingerbreak and now it wont let me successfully root. any help is appreciated.
I feel like I successfully rooted my Tab2 10.1 GT-P5113 using odin. I have cmw recovery and flashed root file with no errors. After rebooting I have
the "#" Superuser app. It says SU binary needs to be updated and when I try it says installation failed! Apps that require root tell me that it cannot
access root. Used root checker and it also says I don't have root.
I rooted my daughter's EVO 3d with Hboot version 1.3. I don't remember exactly method I used, but I think that it was revolutionary. I got superuser on the phone and s-off when the process was complete, but root apps won't work, and root checker says that I don't have proper root access. The phone works fine just no root. What am I missing?
I am wainting to use the SkyGo app but it complains that it will not work on rooted devices.
Since I have no need for root at the moment I want to un-root it but I would rather not wipe everything out since last time my backup failed.
I am using stock Jellybean 4.2.1 and just want to un-root and nothing more, is it possible?
I did try using voodoo to temporarily un-root but Sky Go wasn't f
