Ive had my SGIII long enough now running on the stock rom. Iv decided that I want to root it now. I want to know which or who has the best root out there that will me the most bang? I haven't rooted an android phone since my captivate a few years back.
Just used MetroNoob's stock back-up again to go to stock to finally figure out this stupid camera issue, but the damn phone just will not root.
I've rooted this back-up 3 times in the past month using the Linux files, but this time it's just not working. I've also tried the Windows version on Wincrap 7 but no luck.
Hey guys, so I just found out the update was available from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 and I really want the update for the multi-screen enhancements such as youtube and chrome being added to the mix. I, however, have rooted my phone and am unsure how to un-root it in order to receive the update.
Hi,
I've HTC One S non-rooted. I don't want to root my phone.
I want to know where I can find latest RUU stock roms I can install without root.
Thank you,
Moshe
Ok so other than my initial hello this is my first post ever. I have just rooted my Samsung infuse using Odin on gb 2.3.6 everything went smoothly and my phone is up and working fine afterwards but....now what? I have my phone rooted. I have superuser and downloaded a couple root apps ie Titanium backup, root explorer, screenshot it. I foze all my bloatware.
Hey guys,
Im running the ginger bread leak stock with no mods or anything and I went to go re root my phone last night since I haven't been using root for a while. So I went to use super one click like I normally would and after doing everything super one click says im rooted and then when it asks if I want to run a test and I click yes, the test indicates I am not rooted.
`i recently reverted my phone (nexus s 4g) to stock 4.0.4 so i could get the 4.1.1 update OTA
i mange to install the root.zip file with the one-click-root program i used to use
but after that when i place roms on my phone and try to install them via clockwork recovery i get an error screen (the android guy with a red triangle).
So like yeah. I fxz'd back to 905 stock unrooted and did the update.
Before I rooted I figured I would check the root checker in the stock recovery menu.
Guess what? It read "1/1"! For those of you that don't know, that's supposed to be this thing that alerts if the phone is or ever was rooted, and there's no known way to reset it.
Hey guys, I just recently upgraded from a basic slider phone to the Samsung galaxy S II i1777. I'm still new to the android scene but have a pretty good idea what rooting is. I've been trying to find a rooted kernel that I'll be able to flash to my phone but haven't had any luck. I found one for a i1777 running 2.3.5 but not one for 2.3.6? Anyone know if their is any way to root my phone?
