http://forum.xda-developers.com – So guys on my phone it says that i am not allowed to unlock the bootloader.I bought this phone at O2 in London,they unlocked it for me and i can put any sim-card of any network it will work.So i don't quite get this when i type the code to see configuration of my phone ( *#*#7378423#*#*)>Service Info>Configuration>Rooting Status:Bootloader unlock allowed:No.So i read that if it says like this i cannot root my phone.But is there anyone in this forum that can provide me steps how to change this or can i bypass this or anything,or should i take it to O2 so they can do that for me...???I (HowTos)

First, you should confirm that it is possible to unlock the boot loader of your phone by checking the service menu. In your phone, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu. In your phone, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step.

I can not access the service menu through *#*#7378423#*#* to find root status. Prior to this rom the bootloader allowed said no. Is there another way to unlock the bootloader for free?

I was trying to unlock bl with the official mode but it fails everytime. In service menu it says bootloader unlock allowed: yes, but nothing works. I cant unlock with s1tool bcuz not recognized simlock certificate. What can I do?

I have gone through all similar topics for X8 but couldn't find the solution for me. I have a SIM-locked Sony Xperia X8 and was able to unlock the bootloader with msm7227_semc. After that however, the phone still won't work in other networks.

Well, was a new version of flashtools :silly: my bootloader is lock, can I unlock the bootloader if say Bootloader Unlock Allowed: NO?

just got a replacement phone. And i want root back.

I already did the bootloader unlock crap. i have my token key. i unlocked bootlaoder via cmd.

I still have s-on though. which s-of program should i use?

hboot: v2.09.0000 radio: 1.12.11.1210

is there no new root for the recently updated phone's?

I've tried regawmod, but it just took me to htcdev.
