I was wondering if anyone knew of any good texting apps?? I used to use handcent but with its new update its slow and ugly and gosms doesnt work for me, when i receive a text it wont vibrate..... the old handcent worked perfect.
Hey guys I just want to have people's opinions about the above apps. I have S3 and have been using my stock messaging app with SMSpop up to handle the notifications when I receive texts. Lately I've been reading about these two messaging apps and I have been interested in trying them especially because I want emoji support (I hate my iPhone friends lool).
Hey ..
i noticed that some of my apps are in the background in unity-panel.
the apps are vmware-workstation,jupiter, empathy
this is what i mean
as you can see on the left some of my apps are running but in the background
if i didn't set my unity-panel to see-through i wouldn't have noticed it.
if i restart my laptop and start empathy it doesn't go in the background and also when
i run compiz --repla
ok im running cm7 still ( ancient i know) and all of a sudden my i cannot receive mms messages, tried wiping caches, checked apn settings and even tried adding a new apn, fixing permissions, wiping and reinstalling rom, tried 3rd party apps both handcent and gosms pro as well as stock messaging program. I can send texts and mms fine but not receive them. PLEASE advise.
Noob question.
What system / background apps provide what functionality?
I know the functions of the apps that I have installed but what about the system apps.
The reason being I'm wondering what apps I can safely stop from starting up to free up some RAM.
Cheers
David

Is there any apps that creates wallpaper with monthly calendar displays on it? I'm not looking for a widget that displays my agenda, just an app that will take any wallpaper I choose and embed ie. month view of october or november or both, so this would be a static image. I don't want to use a lockscreen alternative.
I apologize in advance if this has been answered. I just picked up the Maxx Hd last night and i'm keeping an eye on my data since i'm new to the phone and ICS (Haven't recieved the JB update yet). My question is, will apps running in the background eat data?
I've recently got a new, better phone with a lot more internal memory. I used to have to limit my installed apps that wouldn't move to SD, but now I can install what I want.
On the Play Store clicking 'My Android Apps' I can view uninstalled apps under 'Other Apps In My Library', but it only goes up to apps starting with L. I'd like to be able to see if there's some apps I've forgotten about.
