Hello. I purchased a Samsung galaxy s2 from boost mobile last weeek and am interested in rooting it. This is my first samsung device as ive only used HTC and LG. ive read through this guide 2x but seeing as i just spen $300 i want to be sure im doing it correctly. i did update to JB through Kies the day i got this phone and It seems this guide was released for ICS.
Whenever I go into Odin mode the drivers install as MSM8x60. And Odin doesn't see the phone. If I unplug and re plug in the phone it says the Samsung cdc driver but has an exclamation next to it. Odin still doesn't see it.

i think i have done something really serious with my samsung galaxy s2 andriod 4.0.4 ,
it was locked on T-mobile and i was trying to unlock it, i was told i have to first root the hand set,
while i was trying to Root , i installed kies, odin and i was looking for cf root file for bvlch as far as i remember, i think i rooted with the wrong file even though the kernel was passed on
Hi everyone. I am trying to install Cyanogen mod 10 but can't because of status 7 error(Installation aborted). I have installed CWM-based Recovery 5(this appears in the recovery menu and this file came from the root package). I have Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (GT-P3100).I have tried the following method again and again.

hey guys hope someone can help. i tried to return my gs3 to stock after rooting it and putting a rom on it, so i used odin and i downloaded the stock tar file from the stock rom thread, and all seemed to go alright but when it rebooted in got stuck on the samsung screen. it shows the sprint bootup thing and galaxy s3 but then gets stuck on samsung screen.
Well well well - I thought that if you wanted to upgrade your phone to newer firmware, you had to wait until Kies told you you have an update, otherwise flash via Odin and loose all your apps and settings etc etc.
Of course I have considered flashing via Odin but look here: -

My phone is stuck in Odin Mode and it gives a message that says that firmware upgrade encountered a problem and to connect it to Kies, I have tried holding the volume buttons at the same time as the power button to go into recovery mode but it doesn't work, it shows the samsung logo for less than a second and goes back to Odin Mode.
i have my phone back to stock with odin,rooted and unlock it with EZ unlock 1.2 and rom manager flash CWM recovery and rom gets install but i get stuck on samsung galaxy s3 screen and never boot up
