While I'm thinking about it, I wanted to ask a question. I had to revert back to the stock ROM, and went to re-add root and Safestrap 2.10. All went well with the install, but when I went to enable the Safe System, and I rebooted, the phone did the POST (Motorola symbol), got to the SafeStrap splash, then the screen went blank.
I was on Safe Mode from Safestrap 2.0 running Eclipse, Switched back to unsafe for a second (stock), and now when trying to toggle back it fails to backup my stock.
Is is alright if I quick toggle over to safe system since Eclipse is still there and backed up??

New Safestrap is available. I like it so far. Do not install it if you are currently on your safe side, go back to your stock rom and install it. Seems quicker so far and it's refreshing to finally use something other than CWM. Up to 4 ROM slots!

I currently use My flashed droid razr with stock ROM 2.3.6, GB. it is flashed to cricket. my first question is, when i use my safe ROM, will i still be on cricket? and my second question is, by wiping data/factory reset, will this delete the files i have on my internal or external memory for my unsafe/stock ROM? please answer back asap! Thanks!
Ok, im sorry this question is asked over and over again. I currently using SFHub's ODIN of EL29 GB with root. I have not put on CWM or any other kernal. I wanted to try out CM9 or CM10 and i know you need a safe kernal to flash these roms to prevent the EMMC bug. The problem i am having is what is a safe kernal?
On my zte merit z990g net10 it came stock with orkut in the /system/app and it runs when the phone boots and uses about 20k ram I can't kill it because it says it's a system process. I can freeze it with titanium backup but after freezing when I reboot its still in the running process list. So my question is how do i go about removing it and is it even safe to do so.
I am trying to do safe process killing for salvaging memory. Is it safe to kill all background processes in a an activity by calling either ActivityManager.killBackgroundProcesses or IActivityManager.killAllBackgroundProcesses? I know it is painful in case one of the killed processes needs to be restarted, but is it safe?
