~LD-Easy_Wipe_Quick = simple CWM flashable script to wipe data, cache & dalvik cache
A.K.A.
The main screen in ClockworkMod Recovery has the option "wipe cache partition". The "advanced" menu has "Wipe Dalvik Cache". Are these distinct options that clear separate areas or does "wipe cache partition" also wipe the Dalvik cache?
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere -- point me to the post.
So I got a replacement Thunderbolt in the mail from Verizon. First thing I rooted it and got S-OFF. However, now when I turn it on, it gets to the green HTC logo, but when it plays the thunderbolt sound the screen is black. Then the screen stays black.
Ive had to restore my backup 5 times since I got this phone 3 weeks ago and why you ask? Ok so whether its a rom, mod or kernel the insturctions say to wipe cache/dalvik cache as they have sine the beginning of time it seems but whenever I do that once I reboot I get stuck at samsung galaxy s3 screen everytime but when I dont I get a normal reboot.
So back on my Evo 4G whenever I wanted to flash a new rom, I would load it on my SD card. Then boot into custom recovery and wipe cache/Dalvik... Then would wipe ALL data/factory reset. Then I would install my new rom off of my SD card.
With my S3, I cannot access anything on my SD via CWM recovery.
I'm planning on installing that Cyanbread themed Rom, and I wanna know what I need to restore in Cwm through Nandroid Advanced Restore to get all my apps back and everything. Also; Is the Internal Memory backed up at all or deleted upon installation of a rom? I'd like to not lose anything on the internal or external sd card. Annndd do I really need to wipe the dalvik cache?
Alright I'm really stumped by this one. I've searched and searched and not found much so I'm down to asking for any kind of help.
I'll even be happy with " Hey it's right here. Search better."
So my My touch 4g is rooted and I'd been using CM7 nightlys then jumped to the ICS roms and had been using Dark Unicorn v2-5 with the default kernel that comes with the Rom.
This is unrooted
If you want root you'll have to flash the SuperSU-v0.98+.zip from the Clockworkmod Recovery thread
Instructions

Hi there,
I am using Sandvold ICS 0.15 rom for a while. Yesterday i switched the phone off to charge the phone.
Once fully charged, i switched the phone on and it got stuck on the blue X for a long time. I had to try the battery pull and it still had the same issue.
I then performed wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache.
