[Q] Restore Nandroid backup after update to LL4

http://forum.xda-developers.com – I was running LK8 stock rooted and performed the LL4 update via Kies. I had originally tried to do it OTA and in the process wiped the phone to get rid of the modified status only to be put in queue for the OTA. Before formatting the phone I had performed a titanium app and data backup as well as a Nandroid backup. This leads me to the question. Since the baseband has changed, if I restore the Nandroid back up would it revert back to LK8? It's my understanding that a Nandroid backup is a compete backup of everything that was on the phone other than the external SD card. It would be nic (HowTos)

I have a few question regarding nandroid backup and titanium backup.

1. If I do nandroid backup of original ROM and then I flash to another ROM, what happens if I directly do restore from the backup from another ROM?

2. What is the difference between nandroid backup and titanium backup? As far as I'm concerned, titanium backup only backup the apps + data. How about nandroid backup?

I want a nandroid backup of stock rom because I have installed custom rom and want revert back to stock rom I have made a backup of stock rom before installing custom rom but when I restore it the restore completes but the phone stucks at boot Samsung galaxy y young...............

Hey xda.M using htc one c2.I am currently on jb and unlocked bootloader.I managed to get a nandroid ics backup from internet with same cid.I want to ask if i can just restore that backup using twrp recovery?Will it brick my phone?And can i later again flash ics ruu while i am on ics to get a stock phone.

I have had my Note II for a day now and I love it but I seem to have an issue. I rooted and installed CWM 6.0.1.5 (modified version by Philz I believe) using Odin and I of course made a backup of my stock rooted ROM before I started flashing anything but when I tried to restore my Nand it says that it cant find the files and cant open the location.

When I perform a backup from recovery (or via a front-end such as ROM Manager), what exactly is saved?

Is it like a clone of a hard drive in the PC world?

Does it contain only data, and not the actual ROM?

How should I go about using such a backup when doing a restore? Should a ROM be installed first, followed by the restore?

hi , i had a nandroid backup cause i updgraded from 2.3.4 to 4.0.4 ,and it was THE ONLY BACKUP i took . the prob is : i want my pictures back ! and i have no idea how to restore ONLY those , if the backup even backed these up . please help me .. what should i do ? :crying:

Does a Nandroid backup always include everything thats on the internal sdcard or only selected data? I have a nandroid back from a couple of weeks ago and lost pictures from a camera folder that was on the internal sdcard because I didnt backup the card when I installed a rom yesterday. Would those pictures be on the nandroid backup?
