[Q] Replacing screen with gorilla glass one?

I have a cracked galaxy s3 screen that I want to replace by myself. Searching on ebay, I found several lens glass for sell under $20. Are these gorilla glass 2 or just standard glass material?

I only checked youtube videos and looks fairly straightforward. Any word of advice from people who had repaired their cracked screen by themselves?

I was worried about my screen as gsmarena and other trusted websites did not mention whether SGN10.1 had gorilla glass or not. Hence I mailed both Samsung and Corning, asking them the same. Turns out, its just plain glass.

Hi guys, i just got my Samsung tablet and i know for a fact that the screen boasts a gorilla glass protection, do i really need an extra screen protector? :-\

I've seen it for other phones, but I want one for my Nexus 7. My 6 and 2 year olds will be using it from time to time and no telling where their grubby hands have been. Anywho, can anyone tell me the name of the screen protectors that are made out of gorilla glass?

In other forum, note 10.1 user complained that the display can be scratched easily, and suspected that the outermost layer of the display is not made of gorilla glass.

I dropped my gn2 on the corner from about 2 inches and somehow it broke! It's just cracked in the corner and i can live with it but I see that the glass lenses are $20 so I think I'll give it a shot, but somewhere I read that the glass is glued to the lcd so it requires the whole $200 purchase of a lcd, and digitizer and glass. Is this true?

A very simple yet effective procedure you can do to improve touch and the silk-smooth transition from finger to screen can easily be accomplished by using one small amount of silicon-type spray. This can be done on any type of screen protector or just on the Gorilla Glass itself. Silicon spray can be bought anywhere from Wal-Mart to Home-Depot and Amazon to eBay for around 5 dollars.
