hello,
Sorry but not allowed to post in the i9100G sub section yet due to restriction. My friend did the following resulting in soft brick...
Hi,
Long time lurker and now I need to ask a question.
Before Xmas I bought a Sumvision Cyclone Voyager 10.1 and when I got it, I downloaded 'Titanium backup * root' and it told me that my device was rooted (great). Unfortunately after a weeks or so the touchscreen froze and I had to send it back to the shop.
So i got a new phone and was going to give my old optimus v to my friend. i had personal data on there so i went to factory erase it in privacy settings, it rebooted (i thought this was normal at the time) and it opened the clockwork mod menu. I had the stock ROM for it from a previous flash so i just tried to flash that ROM, it installed successfully and i rebooted the device from the menu.
Noob here, please bear with me:
Updated my I577 to ICS, then rooted it using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1806118
Worked like a charm, then I picked up ROM Toolbox Lite from PlayStore, which worked fine until I tried to change themes.
Somehow, it got to where boot was stuck at vendor logo.
You need to have a rooted phone.
If you did not backup your apps before you rooted go to the market and download Titanium Backup and AppTyrant and backup your apks, apps and app data only. Do not backup system apps or system data.
1. You will actually need two recovery's, 1st.
I've had my Nex7 for a few weeks now and I've decided to take the plunge and root it. I know how to do it (having done it on my GNex some time ago) but the problem is that I'd rather not lose everything on the tablet and start again.
I picked up my phone looking to download a new ROM to it but then found that my ES File Explorer (given root permissions) was not able to view my external SD card via the mnt folder. At the same time, I was trying to back up my apps and such via Titanium Backup but it said that it couldn't backup anything because my card was full (it's default save location is my external card).
Title says it all. I would like to keep all of my saved tons and backups on my external SD card but CWM doesn't see or give me an option to backup or flash from external. When I first rooted the option was there but after I installed CWM ROM manager and had it flash to the newest version 5.8.4.7 it stopped giving external card options.
Hi, new poster - so hello everyone!
I have used the forum in the past to root my phone and use a custom rom, all has been well for a year or more until i started to get problems....
