I have a stock rooted htc thunderbolt running gb 2.3.4 and i have it flashed to pageplus. only issue is that im only getting 1x data speeds, when i try to use the phone with no sim data works (1x) but nothing else. with the 4g sim only data works and incoming calls, with a old nextel iden sim (only thing i had) everything works and with 1x data. anyone know how i can get 3g working?

I am new to this forum so hello everyone! I help organize our company cell phones and I work for an engineering firm. We have Surveyors out in the field that use data collectors that product .job and .raw files. They then will use bluetooth to connect their data collector to their phones so that they can save and e-mail the data to the office.
I have the Verizon SGS3 and flashed the CM 10.1 M Now My mobile data is no longer working, and I can't connect my phone to pc via usb cord. Also, a notification keeps coming up saying "Restricted Access Changed" Any suggestions to getting my data back? (Wifi works).
I have been using my Galaxy Nexus on Straight Talk for three months now, and never had a problem with voice, text and data till yesterday. I can still make calls and text but, my data doesn't seem to be working. I have the correct APN settings. I don't know if anyone else is having the same issue or it is just me.
I'm working on an android app that needs to constantly get location data, or as constantly as possible. I know this is going to drain the battery and use lots of data if the user isn't on wifi.
Is there any other way to transmit some kind of you are here message to a phone that wouldn't use data or be a constant drain on the battery by using the GPS.
Has anyone ever ran into an issue with Verizon reporting data according to the log in screen on My Verizon my phone has used 3.503 gb of data, when I check individual data for this phone is is not even close to 200mb of data used. I have contacted Verizon and they cannot seem to help, I just want assurance I am not going to be charged for going over my alloted data for the month which is 6gb.

I have gleaned much from this forum in my recent project, using an Atrix2 on a net10 sim. It has all gone well. Got the data working, and am enjoying the phone a lot. Being used to low - end prepaid garbage, this is indeed a treat.
However, there is one snag.
Ok. Being new to Android and all, I am still working on finding the ideal settings on my phone. However: I am seriously held back by my lack of knowledge on all things android, and specifically network settings.
Is there a member who can help me with, or point me to, an idiots guide to network and data things?
What is the difference between different networks and how do apps use them?

i immediately rebooted my phone,,.
and now,, it was missing....
so now,,, im asking if someone could upload their
settings.db,,settings.db-shm,,settings.db-wal
that can be found on data/data/com.android.providers.settings
