[Q] Question about MeanBean and Baseband update

http://forum.xda-developers.com – If anyone can help or maybe just explain it a bit better since I'm a bit lost. Still a bit of a noob I'm rooted and on s-on since I'm on 1.19. In the MeanBean forum, in Section lll under firmware. It says, "If your baseband is less than 1.12.11.1119, you have old firmware and should update." I have baseband version 1.12.11.0809 so I believe mine is old. So I followed the directions, clicked on the link, followed directions on that link, updated my firmware and after all said and done, my baseband is still on 1.12.11.0809. Should it have updated to 1.12.11.1119? I'd (HowTos)

I am trying to flash the original ICS stock firmware to my S3 but I've yet to find the ICS firmware that is identical to my baseband version:I9300UBDLI2 Does flashing with another ROM with a firmware like I9300XXALF2 brick my device? Can anyone give me a link to the firmware with I9300UBDLI2?

It seems that I have become the victim of the Sudden Death issue with my rooted international S3. My phone freezes and becomes unresponsive and I have to force reset it. I thought maybe updating my CM to a later version would stop it, but obviously it didn't work.

Hey there. Today we were fortune enough to see such a beautiful update with Android 4.0.4 and Sense 4.1. Along came some new firmware. Here you'll find two flashable zips, one with the entire firmware package (new hboot, kernel, and recovery) and one just alike, but without the kernel, hboot, and recovery.

Hello guys! 2 days ago gave me the mini s3 ...! Checking .. I have seen that still has firmware 4.1.1 and baseband i8190xxall2! .. I read that there updated firmware ... but connecting the cell to kies .. I do not detect any update ... and even through ota! What should I do .. x update to version 4.1.2? thanks

Hi, excuse me. I dunno my region Note 2 came from, my Note 2 baseband/ firmware is N7100UBALI9 (the first page setup is Spanish language). Can i rooted any method on NOTE 2 forum ? And can i :confused:flash any custom ROM(such OMEGA,etc...) with properly? What's the different back-up NAND in CWM and back-up EFS?? Should i :confused:changing CSC everytime flashing custom ROMs?

I haven't had a G2X in a while, pretty much since the last baseband update was out, I have a couple of questions:

-Is the new baseband OTA? or do I have to download the kdz file and go that route?

-I don't remember how to root this device, can i go for the new baseband and THEN root? Also is the new baseband fixed to be able to work with ICS and JB roms without any fixes?

good day.. i just want to ask how to change my baseband version if i'm in a custom rom? is it possible? like for example, my current baseband is S5830DXKT4 running a SGS2 JB ROM, which is a DDXKQ baseband.... i want to change to it's latest.. XWKTS without using odin?

or is it possible to chane the baseband of a CUSTOM ROM?

i know im really late on updating to the new baseband and i also used the search function to see if there was anything about this .. also sorry in advance if this is wrong spot. However i digress, my question is how do i update my baseband? im looking to go on to VRBLK3 but.. the deal is this .. im rooted and have an unlocked boot loader and have a custom rom on my phone .. of course ..

New E4GT user here. I'm rooted and on EL29, what is the latest build or baseband number and how do you update to it?

I want to update to Jelly Bean, but I understanding that with this phone, you can't just flash any ROM you want, correct? It has to "match" your build or baseband number?
