[Q] Possible to buy from US and use natively in Asia

http://forum.xda-developers.com – Looking to buy a tablet here in the US and gifting to someone over in Asia. If i change the display language to Chinese and install a keyboard that can support Chinese, will that essentially be the same thing as buying one overseas? Is there any functionality that would be loss by doing this such as the Android market? Any advice will be helpful. Thanks! (HowTos)

I have purchased a Chinese tablet M71G. When i press volume+ and power it goes in to some mode, dont understand because it is in Chinese language. Can anyone tell me how can this be converted to English language?

Can anyone point me in the right direction on 'how to have a chinese onboard keyboard' in Ubuntu 12.04? I have the language changed and am able to type chinese in libre writer but I am trying to get a MSW like onboard keyboard so I can see and build the caricatures/words(bopomofo).

Please anyone recommend me a touchwiz based rom with fully Chinese language in settings and all the touchwiz app(including home screen, contact, gallery, etc). I'm using rocketrom which built-in chinese language and tried morelocal2 but still cannot change fully to chinese. Anyone? ;)

I bought a android phone with a 2.3.6 on it. I am not sure what brand of phone it is, it just says ebest. The person that helped me purchased it changed the language to english for me. However, a lot is still in chinese. I am afraid sometimes that I am hitting the wrong thing.
