I have had problems with my charger for my phone, specifically the cable. It is at the point where it won't work anymore or barely so I tried buying and while waiting for a good item I tried another solution. I still have my charger from my old phone, but it was a LG phone. Seeing as my phone is HTC and the charger is LG (and it fits) I was wondering if it was a good idea, or will it cause damage?

They're rated for 3.8v and 2900mAh

Anyone know where I can get a WORKING charger for the Transformer Prime that isn't $50?
Amazon has several, but the ones that are fairly priced have reviews saying that the charger disrupts the device, opens and closes apps, ruins the touchscreen, etc.
I know they aren't Nexus 7 specific, but I love mine, and I'm bored at work.
Here's what's in it now, plus or minus a few things.
I received this charger yesterday. At night, I shut off my phone and placed it on the charger. The phone charged overnight. However, the white light on the charger stayed on the whole time. The phone probably only needed 3 or 4 hrs of charging as it wasn't even half drained. Does the Nokia charger only shut off if the phone is on so it can get feedback?
