[Q] phone with no sim to droid 4

http://forum.xda-developers.com – Is there a way to put my current phone service on a Verizon DROID 4? My phone has no SIM chip, the DROID does. Is there a way to do this? Please someone point me in the right direction, my current phone is so beat and I'd love to learn this but haven't heard anyone talk about this. WHy do some phones have SIM chips and others don't? (HowTos)

Just received my first droid phone the other day. I reset to factory, then downloaded all of the updates from Verizon. I later read that you shouldn't root the phone if you've done all of the updates through Verizon because it'll brick the phone.

I'm new to the lingo and using ROMS. I want to use this phone to learn though.

I gave my phone upgrade to my little brother (Which seems like he'll be getting the Maxx HD) because their was no news. I have the Droid 4, and is beginning to see it's age at almost a year old.

Thanks to everyone who have worked so hard putting together the phone rooting systems. I have a question that I hope can be answered by one of you. I just recently bought a Droid Razr HD (Verizon). This phone is running Jelly Bean out of the box, so the root method for ICS to JB probably won't work? Is there any new direct safe method available for this phone that I haven't run across?

Here is the situation:

I am a 23 year old CIS Grad who loves technology, computers, and my phone.

Current Phone - iPhone 4 (Needed trusty OS and previously had a Fascinate, Droid, iPhone 3G)

Carrier - Verizon

Verizon Wireless will begin selling a 4G LTE-ready 4.3-inch & Droid Charge by Samsung& Android phone on April 28 for a whopping $300 plus contract. Meanwhile, Verizon says the 4G- and Android-ready HTC Thunderbolt has been a hot seller, and Motorola has confifmed that the Verizon launch of its Droid Bionic phone will be delayed until summer....

The Motorola Droid X sold out in its first day, and won't be available at Verizon Wireless until July 23, says eWEEK. Meanwhile, Motorola responded to complaints over the Droid X's eFuse ROM lock-down chip, reassuring potential buyers that it won't destroy the phone if ROM modifications are made....

Former Windows Mobile HTC Ozone user with a wifi router installed. Then came the OG Droid and rooted that along with 2.3.7.

We heard they could be delayed, but it looks like everything is a go because Verizon just announced the DROID RAZR HD and the DROID RAZR HD MAXX will hit stores next Thursday, October 18. The DROID RAZR HD will cost $199 and the DROID RAZR HD MAXX will run you $299.

I figure I would gather all the major tech site reviews in one place, for the benefit of anyone considering this device.
