I use this app with my nexus 7 (2012) daily, since getting my nexus 7 (2013) it doesn't work.

I accidentally plugged the wrong power supply (used the power supply for my other external harddrive) into my 1TB external harddrive earlier, and not the harddrive doesn't seem to turn on. I put in the power cord, and nothing. Usually I'd hear it make some noise about 2 seconds after plugging in the cord, then Ubuntu would mount the drive, but now nothing happens.

I used it last night when the residual power of my iPad was 14%. The power of the portable power source was full. Then I started to use it. After my iPad was fully charged, the residual power of the portable power source was 40%. Moreover, I was using it while it is charging.
I was thinking of getting a laptop with both a low-power Intel graphic card (don't know the model) and an nVidia Geforce GT 765M which is an Optimus combination. I've read that Optimus support is still very partial on Linux, so I'd like to know if anybody is using that and what are the caveats ?
