I'm using Vaio which uses Synaptics touch pad. Multi touch gestures worked with no trouble on my previous installed operating system, windows 7. Now it seems like I can't use multi touch gestures on Ubuntu 12.10 at all. How exactly do I install the right drivers to make multi touch possible on my laptop. Thank you in advanced.
Best regards
Has anyone noticed anything weird with their phone's touch screen?
I never really noticed this, or had an issue until I played GTA on my phone.
The multi-touch doesn't recognize two point near the bottom (where the buttons are) of the screen or near the top (near the logo). It chooses to recognize one and ignores the other. (can't drive and steer at the same time.
I have a Logitech multi touch T650 and what i have figure out that this this multi touch is been treated just like a mouse.
I have a Dell XPS 15z with 12.04 installed.
Once in a while, when I'm using multi-touch scrolling (two-fingers to scroll down), the computer logs out. It's as if I clicked the log out button, but there's no pop up asking me if I'm sure. Also, my work is not saved and all open programs are closed.
How do I fix this? It's really annoying!
Hi Guys,
I've written a kernel-mode driver for a capacitive multi-touch screen digitizer, can compile and install under Lucid beta release, and its working nicely - as a single point touchscreen.
I know my code is generating multi-touch messages, but I can't tell if the OS is getting them.
so i read that its an issue with the one v that a second touch could cancel the first touch in multi touch which is annoying since i use multitouch like its my job, so is there any rom or way to fix it? i play alot of games, mostly elgard and gba emu and psx emu and because of this issue i die alot or cant do certain things.
I know I've read that the DNA has multi touch... I just can't for the life of me find what it does!
Can anyone tell me what multi touch does?
Thanks in advance.
So I found this really neat app that gives you the ability to swipe gestures from 1-5 fingers. It adds great functionality to the ICS+. Works great on our Touchpad. The lite version seems to work just fine but the pro version lets you customize your own.

The UI is not exactly touch friendly in Ubuntu running on the Nexus 7. The buttons are small, there are only a few multi-touch gestures, etc.
