This issue just started happening a couple hours ago. I've only had the Galaxy S3 for two weeks (Verizon Wireless - service and phone are paid for by my employer). The phone says it is charged at 100% and, every 3 to 20 seconds, it plays the charging notification sound and the display lights up.
Hello all,
It seems that I have become the victim of the Sudden Death issue with my rooted international S3. My phone freezes and becomes unresponsive and I have to force reset it. I thought maybe updating my CM to a later version would stop it, but obviously it didn't work.
I have followed the GCM example in in sample app @ http://developer.android.com/google/gcm/index.html
it works fine, except for one issue, in the
protected void onMessage(Context context, Intent intent) {
you basically show notification in top bar ...
Greetings to you all. I am new to the ZL after my S3.
I realy love the ZL but I cannot get the notification LED to work. It only functions when the phone is charging or indicates that the battery is full.
I already tried the fix from the Z with disabling the auto backup and so on but it still does not work. Stamina mode is off too.
Any suggestions on that issue?
I am looking for some help on what I am beginning to think is a permissions issue. I have consistently gotten a black screen of death after booting my laptop normally.
The system fails to start the kdm and just sites at a black screen.
Now As to the why of what has lead me to believe that this is a permissions issue not just a hardware issue.
Have had an issue with NFC since upgrading to Jelly Bean 4.1.2
The Icon in the notification bar to turn it on/off is blank, and nothing happens when I press it.
If I then go into Settings>More Settings and then turn NFC on, it works.
Someone started a thread a while back on this, but I wanted to start my own hoping that this issue may get a little more attention, and keep a detailed thread for future use. I love this phone, but this is the one significant issue that I have.
I spend most of my day and evening on wifi since I have it available at work and home.
I recently had to exchange my handset for a new one due to issues with the Gingerbread to ICS update, as well as what ultimately turned out to be a battery with blown cells.
Hello guys,
Here is the issue:
suddently my headphones stopped working on my s3: no sound from headphones and no notification icon.
I tried to clean it, tried other headphones, nothing worked, the sound kept just coming out from the speaker.
I then changed the whole piece (speaker headphone and microphone) but nothing changed, the sound just kept coming out from the speakers.
