Dropped my S2 today at gym. It wasnt very high drop and the floor was quite soft. But my phone´s screen turned black and cant see anything. The screen is still responsive because i can get the screen lock off and then i can hear the volume up/down sound. Is the lcd broken or could there be something else?
Hey guys,
So, I did the unthinkable and dropped my phone today. The screen cracked, but it still works. So I don't think I need a full digitizer, and I see the screens going on ebay for 20 bucks, but they're for the international model. Would just the glass part of the screen fit my phone?
My wife dropped her phone and cracked the screen. I bought a new screen and attempted to fix it however ended up making it much worse. The phone powers on and the screen is back-lit but I get nothing on the screen. I decided to just buy her a new phone.
I would like to sell the old phone for parts but need to wipe the data first.
What does this mean? My screen isn't cracked or broken in anyway - it is flawless and displays the reset menus fine. I have hard reset and everything seems to function fine, speakers too, just not the touch digitizer.
What's broken and is there some kind of troubleshooting guide to figure out what I need to replace or try?
I dropped it on the floor by the way.
I know it turns on, it vibrates, and the notification light turns on and stuff, but the screen does absolutely nothing. The bottom buttons work fine. I dropped it on a tile floor screen first and it cracked, most of the crack being centralized in where the lcd ribbon is on the top left. The screen doesn't look cracked or anything.
i dropped my bionic and cracked the screen several months ago. it worked fine for awhile then the screen just froze. I bought several new digitizers and replaced it myself. The phone boots up and everything fine but i still cant use the touch screen. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
THE HORROR:
Had my nexus 16gb plugged in on my bed, knocked it off and cracked the plastic bezel in a 1inch chunk. It still works! Sort of... Except for the backlight. The only way the backlight works is by putting pressure over the spot the bezel cracked in. When it does work, it now has screen bleed issues, and quite badly...
Anyone have any recommendations for a west coast based screen replacement service? my wife dropped her phone and the screen broke. The glass is broken but the phone still works fine.
We are in SF so if they are local even better.
Ok after many hours going through the forum on the WM 8650
