[Q] Nexus S screen locking weirdness

http://forum.xda-developers.com – Been noticing it on all variants of JB ROM: rasbean jelly, AOSP, OTA. When you lock the screen and expect it to turn off, it goes blank then flashes on just a sec before finally turning off for good. It doesn't matter how you lock it: could be using your power button, screen off and lock app, or the sleep button in notification widgets. Any of you guys experienced this and figured out a way to solve it? (HowTos)

Freeze on Screen Lock 35 weeks 4 days ago

Anyone else have this (I have the Korean SK model, E210S), sometimes it just freezes on the screen lock. Touch screen unresponsive, holding down the power button gets me the menu and then it seems to work. Just tapping the power button (to turn off the screen) doesn't work, home button doesn't work, etc. Never need to reboot, but it is irritating.

So I press the power button to put the nexus 7 to sleep. When I open the cover it is sometimes back on the google lock screen. The lock Screen stays on until I hit the power button again to put it back to sleep. It's drained my battery several times. What can I do to stop it from doing it again?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 4G. 3g, 4g, WiFi all work fine during use.

My problem relates to 3g/4g ("mobile internet") turning off when the phone has spent >3 minutes in the lock screen.

I can get 3g/4g to turn back on by clicking the home button/power key and then also entering my pattern to pass the lock screen.

I've just rooted my phone (my first root) and installed Nameless ROM v7.2 Build 5 with the 806Mhz image. Right after that everything seemed to be fine.

Sorry, I am new to android. When I setup lock screen and turn off, the screen does not have the lock screen I setup when I turn it back on. It still show the swipe screen, no pin lock or password screen. Now if i power off and reboot then it show up. Also if I set up a type of pass lock then I can't use the lock widget anymore. It just won't show when I scroll right or left.

I was wondering whether anyone else has experienced these strange issues with the lock screen.

1. When I press the lock (sleep) button on the side of the phone, the screen turns off, but often when I put the phone down straight afterwards it comes back on by itself. There are no notifications, messages, battery alerts etc either, it just unlocks and sits on the home screen.

I have a rooted droid bionic with eclipse rom. I accidentally dropped my phone really bad and now the power/lock button is broken. I have no way of turning it on. When I plug the phone with the charger it'll turn on, but it'll only show the battery screen showing me that it's charging. I can get into recovery because I simultaneously hold the volume keys before I plug the charger.

The system wont lock after 10 minutes of inactivity . The key combo locks system properly . If its suspended on timeout it and awakened it will display a lock screen , but if I have lock set for 10 mins of inactivity it doesnt lock or lock after screen goes to sleep , if i set locking after moinitor sleep .

Hi, can anyone assisr with advise on how to lengthen the time before a phone goes to lock out with a HTC One XL.
