[Q] New replacement phone, cannot get into recovery

http://forum.xda-developers.com – Just got a replacement phone from Sprint and have activated it. Wanted to do a simple HTCDev.com unlock for the ability to do a few things that require root.. From being powered off, I hold down the Down Volume and them press and hold the Power button but that doesn't work... The three icons (buttonless buttons) flash a number of times but no matter how long I hold down those two buttons, the phone won't boot into the bootloader. And YES, FASTBOOT is unchecked .... Any ideas? I've rooted a number of phones and it's usually the 'hold down the down volume + power' until it boots into the (HowTos)

I followed the instruction to get the Clockwork Mod File into my phone. It said that it passed. I powered the phone down and tried to go to my recovery. I hold down both buttons and hold the power down. I let go after the phone vibrates. The samsung name appears then goes away. Nothing else happens. I have tried downloading the mod file twice.

Well I rooted my phone because it sounded cool and I wanted to play around with the phone. I rooted it, everything was fine until I downloaded an app. I downloaded it and reset the phone. Then it happened :(.

So I went on rooting AT&T SG S III using Toolkit 5.0 from XDA. After running Odin rooting, my phone was unresponsive to the next step. I then unplugged the phone and redid.

Hello everyone. Few days ago i bought SGS and i tried to change the ROM in it. I've successfully rooted the phone and installed ClockWorkMod Recovery Console. When i tried to install CyanogenMod 9 through Odin it failed. After a couple of tries i wasn't able to Turn my phone at all. Now the problem is that my SGS won't start up, and I do not mean bootloop.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S1 I896 captivate. My hold button doesn't work anymore. The button still clicks but nothing changes on my actual screen.

Hey so i was rotting phone then i disconnect mistake then it shut down wont turn on ill turn on some time to vibrade i even try all tips like [Volume up and down while connecting it]

Ok I was messing around with my phone and figured out how to force the update for the radio and software on stock rom. NO ROOT, NO CUSTOM RECOVERY! You DO need to have S-Off. Just do the juno bear's S-Off stuff. Once S-Off run the stock RUU. Your bootloader will be "LOCKED" and not "RELOCKED" but you will still be S-Off.

It will flash a stock boot image back to your device.

1. Extract Odin files to a folder from the attachment.

How to get into Download Mode (For Odin) 1. Unplug the USB cable. 2. Shut down the phone. 3. Hold down the 'HOME' + 'VOLUME DOWN' buttons and press the 'POWER' button for about 2 seconds until a WARNING! Screen appears.

Hey guys,

Phone is rooted/bootloader is unlocked

I was using some batch file to push files into the phone via recovery which i downloaded from a user from this site.

Then i choose option to Restart the bootloader by accident and then phone just went off!

Pulled battery many times >> Hold on ON button for 10 seconds or longer still no go

Plug phone to charger and no battery cha
